Ahead Study
NeuroClin Glasgow is looking for volunteers who may be suitable to take part in the AHEAD Clinical Research Study.
This clinical research study aims to test when an investigational treatment can slow or stop the earliest brain changes due to Alzheimer’s disease in people with a higher risk of developing the disease later in life.
Brain changes related to Alzheimer’s disease can begin up to 20 years before a person notices any symptoms.
Would you like to be screened for the Ahead study?
To participate in this study which marks an exciting new step in our fight against Alzheimer’s disease, we are looking for participants that meet the following criteria:
- Are healthy adults
- Are between the ages of 65 and 80 years old
- Have NOT been diagnosed with early Alzheimer’s disease
- Have a study partner*, either a close relative or friend who will have to attend certain study visits
Other eligibility criteria will apply.
*The study partner must be able to speak about the participant’s day to day routines and any changes with the research staff throughout the study
