Leading Research with Precision and Support at NeuroClin
I’ve been working as Clinical Research Manager at NeuroClin for just over three years, and those three years have flown by! This has been the most exciting and rewarding chapter of my career so far.
Being Clinical Research Manager is a very varied role, one I aspired to as soon as I left University. Working closely with our Medical Director, as CRM at NeuroClin I help to ensure the research we conduct is run according to the strict protocols which we receive from the Sponsors which we work with.
This ensures patients are seen in our clinic safely, ethically, in line with all of our instructions, and ensures the data we collect for the research projects is robust and accurate.
Expanding Our Research: From Alzheimer’s to Parkinson’s and Beyond
For many patients, the idea of attending a clinical trial appointment may feel daunting, but at NeuroClin, we’re committed to making the experience as smooth and supportive as possible. Our dedicated team, combined with our world-class facilities, all helps make research a much less daunting experience when attending our clinic.
One of the most exciting parts of my role has been the opportunity to work with some of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies. It’s always exciting to be at the forefront of neurological research, and over the last few years, we’ve expanded from our core focus on Alzheimer’s research into other areas such as Depression, Parkinson’s, and soon, Migraine.
Adding Parkinson’s disease to our research portfolio has been particularly rewarding over the last two years. We’ve faced new challenges but have worked diligently to become one of the top global recruiting sites for a current Parkinson’s trial. Overcoming these challenges has been one of the most fulfilling aspects of my work at NeuroClin, and I’m incredibly proud of what our team has accomplished.
Running for Parkinson’s and Advancing Research
Alongside challenges at work, I enjoy putting myself through personal challenges.
That’s why on 13th October I ran the Manchester Half Marathon to raise money for Parkinson’s UK.
The knowledge that both our research and organisations such as Parkinson’s UK provides hope for those diagnosed with this disease spurred me on for those (very long!) 13.1 miles!
As I look to the future of NeuroClin, I’m very excited for the future and would encourage anyone interested in being part of our exciting research, particularly in Parkinson’s at the moment, to complete our pre-screener questionnaire on our website which will help identify if you are suitable for our current portfolio of research. We’re always looking for new participants to help us advance the future of Parkinson’s care.
