One of the best ways to prepare for Christmas is to start giving gifts early – not the types of gifts we usually give to friends and relatives on Christmas, but the life-enhancing gifts to help those living in poverty that are most in need, especially those who are living on the edge of survival. For countless human beings in the world, such gifts are priceless.
It’s the time of the year again where Glasgow Memory Clinic take part in the Blythswood Care Christmas Shoebox Appeal. For the fourth year in a row, Glasgow Memory Clinic staff have donated shoeboxes filled with gifts for people in poverty living in Eastern Europe who don’t have very much and aren’t likely to receive any Christmas presents. The shoeboxes are wrapped in Christmas wrapping paper, and filled with essential items like toiletries, hats and scarves, toys and sweets etc.
Over the last month, Glasgow Memory Clinic have collected 28 shoeboxes. Over the past four years, this amounts to 127 shoeboxes, which is a fantastic help to those in need.
